We suggest that you book a two bedroom apartment, or opt for inter-leading studios and apartments with a communal entrance if you are travelling with your family. Places to visit
Mouille Point Village is only 1.2km from the V&A Waterfront, where there is a wealth of activities to keep the kids entertained, including the Two Oceans Aquarium and the Scratch Patch to name but a few. The Two Oceans Aquarium is within walking distance, offering hours of entertainment and a family-friendly restaurant with a supervised play area, allowing mom and dad a chance to rest! There is often a musical or theatrical production happening at the amphitheatre in the Waterfront to entertain the kids, 14 movie theatres in the shopping centre, boat trips and much more.
Scenic drives
Drive along the exquisite coastal road to Hout Bay and visit the unique bird and monkey sanctuary named World of Birds, enjoy lunch in the harbour and then stroll along the beach. Drive along Chapmans Peak and you’ll arrive at a farm village in Noordhoek, which offers several restaurants and a lovely play area or spend the day at Imhoff’s Gift, a farm turned children’s paradise with a snake park and camel rides!Alternatively, take a turn to Boulders Beach in Simonstown. Drop by scratch patch on the way back and let your children choose their own semi-precious stones and crystals. Carry on back towards Cape Town via Kalk Bay, an antique trawlers paradise, and enjoy tea and cake in restaurants situated on the rocks, with the waves breaking nearby. Take another day to explore the world-renowned Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens, 528 hectares of gardens that support diverse fynbos flora and natural forest. If you’re lucky enough to attend a summer sunset concert on a Sunday, you’ll be privy to a performance of brilliant local and sometimes international talent.
